Jabz Boxing holds November food drive

Jabz Boxing is holding a November food drive to benefit Scottsdale, Tempe, and Chandler communities that need support.

Jabz Boxing is helping individuals and families in need by holding a food drive collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries through Nov. 30, according to a press release, noting the Scottsdale Thunderbird site among participating drop off locations.

The items will go to the Harvest Compassion Center Phoenix/Maryvale, which has fed more than 100,000 individuals since 2011, the release said, describing the local food bank .

The center resembles  mini-marts and clothing boutiques, where clients can also shop for necessary food, hygiene, baby and clothing items for free, according to the release.

About 40 million people in the U.S. battle with hunger – in Arizona, one in four children and one in five adults go hungry, the release noted.

Jabz Boxing -- a full-body circuit-style workout with boxing-inspired exercises designed for women of all sizes, ages and body types -- has grown to 20 franchise locations in Arizona, New Jersey and Pennsylvania since it began franchising in 2013, the release added.
